Carl Harker is the current owner of Rob Evan's old blue MK1 2.0l (see here for restoration pics)

Carl brought the car back to us in January this year for some suspension work and a roll cage, we fitted square turrets, panhard rod, built and fitted a set of coilover front Bilsteins, roller top mounts, quick rack, Leda rear adjustable shocks, anti-dive and a RS anti roll bar, world cup crossmember and polybushes throughout the front end.

We also blast cleaned painted and welded in his cage while the car was here.

Just as we were nearing completion he decided to go for a Cossie conversion, T5 gearbox, big tunnel and Atlas LSD axle, so the car has been waiting for him to source these parts, most bits are now ready so it will be coming back to the workshop for completion in the near future.

The folowing pics show the progress so far, (click to enlarge)

First few pictures show the car as it arrived and was mounted on axle stands and stripped, the freshly built front struts are in the boot, most other parts are in that big box on the passenger seat. This car already had anti-tramp bars and CD6 rear springs so just needed upright shocks and a panhard rod to tighten the back up.

Once stripped work started on the turrets, pictures show: cutting out, fitting, welding and seam sealing.

And the panhard rod bracket

Next pictures show the roll cage and front suspension being fitted

Coming soon, tunnels, brakes, interior and Cosworth transplant.
