Darren Smith's Cosworth powered Mk1 Escort.

Smiffy's G reg Mk1 has been around in various incarnations for a while usually with RS2000 running gear, however this was not quick enough for Smiffy, so he decided that Cossie Turbo was the only way to go. The car now runs approx 270bhp, through a cossie T5 gearbox, Atlas lsd axle, it is 5 linked and has coilover adjustable suspension all round and a disc brake conversion at the rear.

This car is currently off the road again for rebuild number 2, the bodywork is currently in primer and there are various new modifications, including a pace radiator and intercooler, compression strut front suspension, bigger brakes and a nice new set of 15" minilights, his plan is to have the car finished in time for a trip to LeMans in June.
